Owen with crop riding down vineSidewood Estate is thrilled to announce that they have won two trophies at the 2013 Adelaide Hills Wine Show for the 2013 Sidewood Sauvignon Blanc for the ’Best Sauvignon Blanc of the Show’ and ’Best Shiraz of the Show’ for the 2012 Stable Hill Shiraz.

With 459 exhibits in the show judged from 97 different exhibitors and along with the two trophies Sidewood Estate was also awarded two Gold, two Silver and four Bronze medals.

Owner Owen Inglis (seen here on horseback) excitedly commented “What a Fantastic result being the first winery in the history of the show to win trophies from the top two categories! This outstanding win demonstrates the high quality of our wines is being recognised in such a competitive field.

“In receiving this award it identifies the high quality of fruit that Sidewood Estate produces, with special thanks to Viticulturists Mark Vella, Peter McIntyre and Nick Reynolds from Vitiworks with their hard work and fine detail in the vineyard at Oakbank in the Adelaide Hills. Once again, highlighting the magnificent terroir of the cool-climate that is the Adelaide Hills combined with exceptional winemaking by Natasha Mooney”.
