Two hours from Sydney in the beautiful village of Moss Vale you are invited to try a traditional Southern Italian family-style lunch to be served in the farm house and paired to local and imported Italian wines. Your hosts are Cindy and Pasquale Bowman the owners of Tre Porcellini a 200 acre farm which is also home to a herd of rare breed English large black pigs, rare breed Wiltshire Horn sheep, Angus cattle, Alpacas, and a variety of chickens.
Pasquale’s Calabrian heritage and Cindy’s passion for traditional Italian cooking has convinced them to share their lifestyle with small groups of people interested in a shared table and the experience of local quality produce.
With a maximum of 12 guests you can enjoy a five course meal comprising homemade antipasti, including traditional salami and Njuda; handmade pasta with Ragu, slow cooked lamb, pork and veal, followed by dessert and a selection of speciality Italian cheeses and coffee. Both local and Southern Italian wines will be served.
Traditional southern Italian ‘paddock to plate’ food experiences, comprising salami making workshops, passatta-making, bread and pasta-making, cooking classes and more are planned for the near future.
The first lunch is to be held on Saturday the 19th April and on arrival a farm ‘walk around’ with Pasquale allows guests to interact with the animals and to learn more about their provenance.
