It’s no secret that Australians love wine, and on Malbec World Day the nation will raise a glass to Argentina’s iconic varietal that is fast rising in popularity Down Under. Malbec World Day is a global initiative by Wines of Argentina paying homage to one of the modern jewels of international wine, Malbec.
Malbec World Day celebrations are designed to bring Australians together to experience the conviviality that is the essence of the Argentinean way of life. While Malbec has experienced remarkable growth in many countries around the world, it’s in Oceania that Malbec is garnering the most attention – Australia currently has the highest growth rate in volume for Malbec in the Asia-Pacific region.
To celebrate Argentina’s exceptionally unique wines in Australia, a range of events and activities will be held throughout April, culminating in this flagship event in Sydney for more than 200 wine enthusiasts, diplomats, media and key influences.
The event is sponsored by Chimu Adventures, the Latin America and Antarctica specialists that create tailored trips to Argentina, including the famous wine region of Mendoza. Wines of Argentina, the Consulate of Argentina in Sydney, video production specialists Creative Creations TV and the famous ‘new to Australia’ Argentine beer Berlina are also proud supporters of Malbec World Day.
