GREAT NEWS from Hood River…

winemaker2-1Reustle-Prayer has again been invited into the Six Nations Wine Challenge to be held later this year in Sydney. USA Judge Dan Berger has invited them to enter two of their wines.

Here they have sent us some news regarding another show.

Thursday, March 26, 2015, the Great Northwest Wine Competition awarded all 15 wines entered from Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards medals at its annual competition in Hood River, Oregon. Great Northwest Wine Competition, awarded us three Gold Medals, seven Silver Medals, and five Bronze Medals in this week’s competition. In all, every Reustle wine entered into competition won a medal. With a total of 15 medals our wines demonstrated a consistent pattern of excellence in winemaking in the Umpqua Valley.

Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards 2013 Grüner Veltliner, 2013 Pinot Noir Reserve, and 2013 Gloria’s Syrah each earned Gold Medals. Silver Medals were awarded to our 2013 Grüner Veltliner Reserve, 2013 Grenache, 2013 Malbec, 2013 Merlot, 2013 Côt et Merlau, 2013 Riesling, and 2013 Syrah Reserve. Also showing well, earning Bronze medals were the 2013 Pinot Noir, 2013 Syrah, 2013 Tempranillo, 2013 Tempranillo Reserve, and 2012 Gloria’s Syrah.

This year’s Great Northwest Wine Competition received a record-breaking number of entries making it even more competitive than past years. Competition Founder & Director, Andy Purdue, Editor & Publisher of Great Northwest Wine stated, “Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards’ wines have shown beautifully in wine competitions up and down the West Coast in recent years, and they’ve always done well in Great Northwest Wine Competition. This year was no different, with Stephen’s wines earning three gold medals and seven silvers. This shows excellence at a high level.

Stephen  was obviously pleased with this year’s results. Concerning this competition he stated, “It warms my heart to see wines we produced in the Umpqua Valley show so well in such a well-respected competition. Validation, in the form every wine winning a medal, lets our consumers know that their trust in our label is echoed by wine industry experts.”

As you, know, competition results like this are not new for us, as earlier this year we earned similar results winning 14 medals with 14 entries at Savor NW Wine Competition in Cannon Beach, Oregon.

Blessings, Gloria Reustle
